We invite you to the 5th edition of the GWSC winter swimming competition - Gdynia Winter Swimming Cup, combined with the IWSA - International Winter Swimming Association World Cup - the first competition of such a high rank organized in Poland.
Ice swimming is characterized by swimming in water temperatures below 5 degrees. The competitor may only wear goggles, a cap and a swimsuit, without using neoprene suits. Swimming distances range from 25 m to 1 km.
The competition is scheduled for February 08-09, 2025 in Gdynia Marina. The originators of the competition are extreme swimmers from Gdynia - Piotr Biankowski and Aleksandra Kabelis.
Every year, several hundred swimmers from all over the world take part in the competition. As every year, the competition will also be accompanied by a charity collection for the Ronald McDonald Foundation "So that the Family can be Together" and #CzapkaOdserca.
This year, we will also host the Foundation's ambulance, where ultrasound examinations of children will be performed free of charge, as part of the "No Cancer in Children" campaign. In addition to the charity campaign, the aim of the competition is to popularize winter swimming, promote the city of Gdynia, and promote partners and sponsors.
All 5 minutes from Square Apartments Gdynia!
We invite you.
